Really bravo, it was a great success. It wasn’t for free, but I couldn’t expect it with so many subjects involved.

At the very beginning, I would like to tell you that Věrka is one of the best tutors at School Populo. With the help of Věrka and her knowledge, I simply mastered the topics I did not understand. Marek’s story – correction of deficits
Marek’s parents
Marek was a child, according to the kindergarten teachers, “with no manners”. But everything was a little more complicated. Marek had trouble concentrating because he perceived sequence and succession differently and needed to adjust cognitive function deficits. He was unable to associate his behaviour with the consequences it caused in other people, and he could not select the essential from what he was told. This was then manifested when he had a problem learning the basic number series or understanding that the letters follow one after another according to a given order. Exercises that developed perception, remembering things, and the ability to repeat the exact sequence of what was done were therefore included in the standard teaching of the minimum for enrolment. Rituals and an emphasis on regularity and order were also an important part. Marek made a lot of progress in a month, which many people confirmed. He was admitted to school, and your lessons corrected his deficit and made his first grade start smoother.

Petr wanted to be a teacher from the first grade when he founded a compulsory home school for his parents and taught his grandmother writing according to his copybook. In high school, he was passionate about foreign languages, so he went to teach English wherever he could. Now, in his fifth year and still happily, he continues at Skola Populo School, and passing on his knowledge is a pleasant distraction during his demanding medical studies. He gets on well with both children and adult “eternal beginners” and tries to get the most out of everyone in a fun way. In his free time, he enjoys music, especially piano and keyboards in the faculty band.

Jessica tutors German and English. She was born in Germany, so she speaks German at the level of a native speaker. She could also tutor the Polish language, given her nationality. She is currently completing her master’s degree at UP in Olomouc, majoring in German and English, focusing on education. In her classes, she emphasizes the development of communicative competencies in an entertaining way. She likes working with children, with which she already has extensive experience. As she is currently completing her studies, her working hours are very flexible. In her free time, she likes to do sports and travel. Among other things, she completed a one-month stay in Indonesia, where she taught at the local primary schools.

Mathematics and accounting tutor
Jaromír started tutoring at Skola Populo in 2017. He wants to be an excellent teacher, which is why he’s studying mathematics and social sciences at the Faculty of Education in Olomouc. Since accounting was among his most favourite subjects at Business Academy he graduated from, in the academic year 2019/2020, he started attending a distant program in accounting and tax at the School of Business Administration of the Silesian University. In his classes, Jaromír tries to make students think logically and think about procedures, but at the same time, he shows them an easy way to reach the result. Above all, Jaromír tries to show that math is fun and not challenging. He treats his students in a friendly way and with respect in every situation.

I have been tutoring at Skola Populo since the beginning of 2018. I focus mainly on German, which I have done since primary school, but I am also happy to help students with Chinese or English. In addition, I also do translations. Being a tutor at Skola Populo is a very creative job. What I enjoy most is seeing students’ progress and constantly coming up with new ways to move them forward. In my free time, you can find me in Zbrojnice, probably in the department of Asian studies, in a bookstore, where I take care of books, or at home in the kitchen, where I try to improve my culinary skills in the field of Asian cuisine.
